Salary activities and deviations

When registering working time on your time sheet it is also possible to register time on a salary activity or deviation, they are two words for the same thing.

If the working hours recorded for a day are above or below the scheduled hours (i.e. 8 hours scheduled hours of work for a person who is working 100%) the difference is moved to a deviation. 

One deviation is defined as standard deviation on your time sheet, it could be for example flexitime. The standard deviation has green text (so you can distinguish it) and all your deviations are registered to the standard deviation unless you pick another deviation from the list on your time sheet.

Register a salary deviation/ absence

Is your wage deviation a different type than the standard, you can add this on your time card. To view the deviations that are setting forth for a week or if you want to enter a new departure opens you up Deviations on your time card.

Need to register time and absence, for example, illness or other leave, enter the time you would have worked as a negative number (for example, -08: 00 H) of the current day instead of registering a COM and Went-time. On your coming and going of time, type in zeros.

  • If the total time for a day is below than the scheduled working hours of the employee is displayed in the pay discrepancy section as negative numbers.
  • If the total time exceeds what is scheduled working hours, this is shown as a positive number in the section.

Comment: You can add a comment on a wage discrepancy. Comments This can sometimes be useful for example to explain the absence. Select the cell where you enter the time of absence and enter your comments in the “Comment”. After saving the cell will have a colored border to indicate that it has a comment attached to it.

Units for salary activities

In QBIS can choose if the calculation of a salary activity should be done in hours or days. If the calculation must be done in days, only whole days registered on the activity. An example might be if your company only accepts to take out the entire vacation. Do you 8 hours of scheduled working hours on a particular day, you can only register 8 hours holiday that day. If, however, wage activity shall be calculated in hours can register the instance 2 hours vacation on a date.
